Ethan loves cars - none of us have any interest in cars whatsoever, but there's something in his nature that draws him to them. I'm very much of the idea that kids should be immersed in whatever the hell it is they are interested in - it's how they learn and grow. They move onto the next thing soon enough! It seems like a millenia ago that Tom wanted to watch Finding Nemo every day, now he doesn't even want to know about it if Star Wars or Lego isn't involved!Blethering boyshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15634522937681092922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3298101854573683066.post-31565604628909028352014-03-30T01:29:17.073-07:002014-03-30T01:29:17.073-07:00Such a good post and so true. I steered clear of cars and instead bought him animals & dolls and little toy villages, yet he still went straight for the cars and now has the 'typical' boy love of cars & dinosaurs. What can you do? I guess I am just happy if he is happy, mind you he spend a lot of time cooking and baking with me so I suppose we are breaking some stupid boundaries.Jacqueline Meldrumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05748535381400208316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3298101854573683066.post-10593331277729776272014-03-29T15:37:30.784-07:002014-03-29T15:37:30.784-07:00SO true Tanita. Who knew?

P.S I bet your brother looks awesome in pink! I have a younger cousin who openly cries out his love for pink - he's a real cool dude; guitar, long hair, rock fan, but claims pink for himself. Boys who are not ashamed to claim pink are a very, very good thing!Blethering boyshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15634522937681092922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3298101854573683066.post-30773621302905957852014-03-28T10:35:41.457-07:002014-03-28T10:35:41.457-07:00Wait 'til your boys want to wear a pink shirt....Wait 'til your boys want to wear a pink shirt.
You'd think this wouldn't be SUCH A BIG DEAL, but oy -- my brother loves a good pink, and when he wears a button down, it contrasts so nicely with his brown skin -- and oh, the eyebrows raise.

I always thought it would be hard to be a "girly girl."
Pity it's equally hard to be just a plain old boy. We make EVERYTHING in this life too hard. Ridiculous, we humans.

Ah, well. ☺tanita✿davishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01671822274852087499noreply@blogger.com
