This is Dave.
Dave is my husband and father to our two Blethering Boys, Tom and Ethan. And they adore him.
Dave has his moments, like any dude, but in the main, he is a complete and utter stand-up dude.
Which is why I will be paying a wholesome, dude-tastic tribute to him on Father's day this year.
I know I am a very lucky lady.
We run a very equal partnership here. We don't broker your 'traditional' roles in this household. That wouldn't swing for either of us.
My husband is a proud feminist, kind, thoughtful, honest and in every way an amazing Daddy and role model. I am very proud to be his wife.
Hence, our Father's day will be a nod to the traditional with a wave to the modern.
Forget all your twee cards with golfers and powerboats on them. Forget tacky tee-shirts and awful onesies.
This year I'll be popping over to +Red Candy ( @RedCandyUk ) to check out their huge variety of cool and funky gifts.
Such as:

What initially lured me, as massive book-lovers in this house, were their variety of modern and really different book display systems.

Umbra Conceal L Bookshelf |
Quite often we read some really beautiful books with some really gorgeous covers that we want to display. We've been propping them up on our bookshelf to show them off, but now I'm delighted to say that we'll no longer be ruining the spines of our favourite books.

Vertical Book Displays |
I won't be putting it up until father's day though, so I'll let you know how it looks in real life soon!
I love displaying books, just as much as I love displaying photographs. I was also having a nosey and quite fancied some of these:

How amazing is this?! Fin it HERE |
Why not hop over to www.redcandy.co.uk to have a nosy for yourself? (pssst! there's some pretty cool Sale items too!)
In the meantime, how would you all like the chance to win a Father's day treat for the special guy in your life?
Or even just yourself?
How about this beautifully quirky Umbra Hangit Photo Display?
Do you want to create a wall décor that is entirely unique to you? Well the Umbra Hangit Photo Display may just be the perfect solution for you!
The concept of this designer hanging photo frame is simple and quite literally like hanging all your pictures, quotes or notes out to dry. An old English idiom warns you not to ‘air your dirty laundry in public’ but there are no set rules for displaying memories.
As with most things in life, it is always the simplest of things in life which are by far the most ingenious. One of the best features of this piece is the fact that you can regularly interchange your selection with extreme ease.
The Hangit Photo comprises of a white wooden wall frame, five rows of clothesline and forty wooden clips to collectively secure your precious memories in place. It can be hung either horizontally or vertically so don’t be afraid to play around with the design.
Break away from the ordinary and display your collection in this wonderfully eclectic manner.
The good folks over at Red Candy have agreed to give away one to one lucky Blethering Boys reader to celebrate Father's day.
